| The smartly-designed mounting system consists of two components: an adjustable base (affixed to the chassis), and a pair of upper mounts (which remain attached to the engine crankcase - #338720) that key to the adjustable base. This enables the engine to be mounted and dismounted time after time without needing gear mesh re-adjustment. |
| Engine mounts are designed to allow easy access to the engine¡¯s rear plate so you do not need to dismount the engine at any time.
Engine swaps are now quick & easy! You can have several engines prepared in your pit box with their own engine mounts attached. Simply remove one engine from the base mount and replace it with another engine.
The Monoblock Engine Mount is recommended for low- and medium-traction conditions. The Monoblock design provides a stiffer design than the standard single engine mounts but is still a bit more flexible than the Multi-Flex¢â 1-Piece Engine Mounting System (#338712). The engine area of the car and the area between engine and 2-speed is reinforced but the flex of the chassis is still available. The reinforced area of the chassis between the engine and 2-speed gears reduces the chance of spur gear breakage or stripping. |
