Not only is the 2.4ghz link solid, this model also implements our lightning fast 5.5ms frame rate, providing a quicker , low-latency connection for the pro-level enthusiast. The SR515 also features a new, modern case design that is small, streamlined, and ready for nearly any RC application. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for seamlessly easy installation. No more bind plugs! Instead, an easy-to-use bind button is used to enter the bind mode. Plus, while binding, you have the choice of SmartSafe™ as well as preset ‘Gas’ failsafe options. All combined, Spektrum gives drivers more features in an affordable receiver, so you can drive with confidence. Compact DesignThe SR515 is capable of being placed in very small and tight builds. We eliminated un-needed angles to streamline the receiver casing and to make installation easier than ever before. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for those custom models that do not provide a route for the antenna installation. 
Bind ButtonNew technology eliminates the need for the old bind plug. With The SR515 a top-located button makes binding more convenient than ever while two bind-sequence options make the process simpler by allowing you to bind while powering up or after receiver power is connected. 
Gas Mode FailsafeBuilt into The SR515 is our newest failsafe mode for surface applications, Gas Mode Failsafe. Easyily selectable during binding, Gas Mode allows users to preset the failsafe position of all available channels. Additionally drivers can utilize SmartSafe ™ failsafe which drops throttle to the lowest point and holds the last known command on the rest of the available channels.

Molded Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) bumpers surround the radio chassis to protect it against drops, bumps and even a few bangs here and there. There's no external antenna to snag or worry about—a low-profile ridge on the chassis protects the robust high-speed signal output internally. A versatile front chassis guard enhances durability further and provides mounting options for user-integrated accessories such as a camera, light source or anything else. An easy-access accessory compartment makes it possible to can carry small tools, such as a T-wrench that smartly snaps into the internal mount provided. Smart Technology ReadyWhen combined with Spektrum Firma Smart ESCs and Spektrum Smart capable receivers, the DX5 Rugged receives telemetry data right to your transmitter through the Smart Throttle port on the receiver. Smart Throttle ESCs can send RPM, speed, ESC temp, volts and amp draw.

This exclusive Spektrum™ technology can be used in any type of surface application, including boats. Its range and response, particularly in noisy 2.4GHz environments, are superb. It's also backwards compatible with DSM2® and marine-specific Spektrum receivers. This means most longtime Spektrum users can continue to use the receivers they have. They'll only need to upgrade if they want the frequency-agility of a DSMR receiver for busy 2.4GHz environments. 
AVC® (Active Vehicle Control™) ProgrammingThe DX5 Rugged makes it possible to custom tune an AVC system by providing easy-access to dedicated adjustments. In addition, open channels of the Rugged can be used to adjust the AVC steering and throttle systems independently. No matter what you're driving, AVC technology can easily meet your skill level or driving style with control that makes it feel like you're driving a finely tuned vehicle that handles predictably at every speed. |
