The team at JConcepts are always innovating and adding to an arsenal of fine racing tread patterns and compounds. The carpet and turf racing scene are hotter than ever, and with more courses, the team works harder than ever to deliver more options to a hungry crowd of racers. Introducing the Fuzz Bite, the 2wd front pin tire designed into radius positioning to enhance the drive on a range of surfaces. The Fuzz Bite front tire lands on a super low-profile carcass. The super low stance provides quick transition at high-speed and minimizes side-wall deflection and roll. The pin is specially built in a reverse “water tower” shape planting the larger base at the bottom and narrowing at the top for precision. The pins are placed in a radius and repeated about for a healthy nest of pins to dig deep into matting in office carpet or tight knit CRC carpeting.   The alternating rows of pins provides side-bite, increased steering response and the tightness of the package creates a nimble racing vehicle. The arrangement of the pins promotes good wear characteristics and traction longevity. The Fuzz Bite incorporates a small radial rib on the outside with angular cross to give consistent cornering but also additional mid-corner steering. A unique feature on the Fuzz Bite is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on a wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced un-sprung weight. During the gluing process, it is also handy to have some breathing room for the glue process and the geometry gives many edges and ledges to adhere to. The super low-profile tires do not require foam inserts. The 2.2” bead mounting diameter fits to popular slim wheels like the #3376 Mono wheels available in bright white and florescent yellow. JConcepts Pin Downs Carpet 2.2" Rear Buggy Tires feature a pin spiked tread, which is directional for added performance and stability. The directional nature of the pins were positioned to allow broken-in type pins to grip the surface in one direction, while the pins are more upright when oriented in the opposite direction. The tire carcass is marked with a special texture which helps the driver with orientation during mounting. The bottoms of the pins have heavy radiuses which allow the pins to wear more consistently and not tear or rip off the carcass prematurely.
The tire carcass itself has been refined to reduce weight while maintaining strong sidewall support. The pink compound marked with 2 pink dots on the tire represents a new compound for JConcepts, a medium soft material with good wear characteristics. The rear tires include gray, open cell inserts making them a complete set ready to mount, straight out of the package. The Pin Downs work best on Carpet and Astroturf tracks where typically a small pin tire is working.
